Knew the below was a keeper from the world of UClistserv political rhetoric.

With regular and deserved PR for DeSales, Calvary, Lutheran Church, as well
as others, I believe faith based communities are positive influences in UC,
Philadelphia, and PA, regardless of the economy.

Perhaps Job is the most obvious test of man's consistency of faith, when God
says to the Devil, "Have a go at the constitution and devotion to me of a
man's faith."

I always thought, during good financial times you could give more money to
support the good works of your church and still have money left over to buy
more American made guns.

Rumor has it the WolfePAC, just like Hillary recently did elsewhere in PA,
will be throwing down the sauce 7:00 PM Thursday 17 April at the Mill Creek
Tavern, 4200 Chester Avenue. Sounds like a good way to spend some money in
response to the usual political hooey.

And, I thought no one from Chicago told Pope Benedict XVI our nation is
forlorn, when he spoke about the sanctity of mankind, the punishment of having
little babies, and joyously proclaimed, "God Bless America."

Could any man, who doesn't already feel that way, find it just by standing
on the South Lawn of the White House?

The latest thing with Gerri Ferraro’s statement generates fear in the
majority culture and if people of color respond to this, it will be perceived
as ‘
black racism’ and justify those same fears.

Never mind Hillary’s political career was spawned from her marriage to Bill,
his Governorship and Presidency through which she stayed and endured
humiliation to finally realize her ambitions. Gerri Ferraro’s
Vice-Presidential
1984 candidacy with Walter Mondale sprang from Affirmative Action as a woman.

I also remember quite clearly in 1984 Geraldine Ferraro saying then she was
a Congresswoman from Queens, NY, which she quipped at the time as “Archie
Bunker’s Neighborhood.”

It wasn’t until her husband’s ties, (however tenuous), to Organized Crime
were publicized that scuttled her chances.

No matter for whom I may vote , I well remember Jesse Jackson’s Presidential
Candidacies and Rev. Al Sharpton’s Presidential Candidacy.

If what Ms. Ferraro said was true...they should have had the best chance of
being President LONG before Obama’s Presidential Candidacy.

I pray Obama does not take the bait.

I hardly think Hillary Clinton as a leg to stand on in terms of passing the
CIC test. To question Obama with her paper thin national security experience
is laughable.

Questions for Clinton:

Where are the tax returns?

Who has donated to the Presidential Library?

What about her schedule while First Lady?

Hosting diplomats and doing PR events does not make a CIC no matter how many
times she tries to say it and exxagerate and stretch the truth.

Another Press release from the Clinton campaign.

We ought to hire this guy to ask Tom Lussenhop questions about the Campus
Inn.

Still non-partisanly (sorry Matt) because the only decent candidate (Ron
Paul) is out of the race.

Questions for Senator Obama

Lee Feinstein, Campaign National Security Director, Released

the Following Statement
Senator Obama has thus far failed to answer key questions about his
qualifications to meet the Commander-in-Chief test. The following are
questions that
Senator Obama should address:

Will you stand by your definitive commitment to removing all combat brigades
from Iraq within 16 months, or will you, as your former advisor said, not
rely on "some plan" you "crafted as a presidential candidate or as a US
Senator?"

Do you regret that you have never held any substantive hearings on
Afghanistan or any other subject, since you became chairman of the
subcommittee on
European Affairs in January 2007?

Do you agree with General McPeak that you are more qualified to be commander
in chief because you don't "go on television and have crying fits?" Are you
prepared to remove General McPeak from your campaign for what is viewed by
many as a sexist comment?

Are you still willing to meet separately, without precondition, during the
first year of an Obama administration, in Washington or anywhere else, with
the leaders of Iran, Syria, Venezuela, Cuba and North Korea? Are there any
circumstances in which you would not conduct such meetings?

As voters evaluate you as a potential Commander-in-Chief, do you think it's
legitimate for people to be concerned that you have traveled to only one NATO
country, on a brief stopover trip in 2005, and have never traveled to Latin
America?

Earlier in the campaign you were asked how you would respond to a terrorist
attack on two cities in the United States. You talked about the need for an
effective emergency response but were initially unclear about the need for a
military response. What do you think that says about your readiness to be
Commander-in-Chief?

You publicly broadcast your willingness to attack Pakistan unilaterally, a
statement which caused unrest in that country. Recognizing that we need to
combat terrorism wherever it exists, do you wish you would have made your
comments in a way that didn't cause unrest?
