Street crime around here seems to go up in the summer, down in the winter. In recent years at least, though, University City has not, repeat not been a high-street-crime part of America. It's about average.

The 3900 block of Market was also the site of one of UC's more-recent murders, about two years ago. In that case, I vaguely recall, the victim was a resident or related to a resident of that block.
