I'm looking for a folk musician/songwriter to add instrumentation to this
song. I have the singing in my head, but I was hoping someone might add a
banjo or other instrument. I think we will need more civil rights rallies at
city hall and we obviously need more rallies against war and for human justice.

I am most interested in a singer/songwriter interested in performing at the
rallies. I could sing the song for you or you could find your own music. It's
a song for the people and maybe youtube.

Thinking about the people from Francisville, in the city of corporate love, to
Bangladesh, the country soon under the sea; this song came to mind.

(Intro)

Give the world back to the people
Give her to them for free
Give the world back to the people
Maybe they could save her, let's see

The water is rising around us
Much too salty for tea
I don't want to make such a fuss
But breathing is hard under the sea

Give the world back to the people
Give her to them for free
Give the world back to the people
Maybe they could save her, let's see

The trees are burning around us
The air is misty and brown
Maybe we can park; and take the bus
Without a tear and a frown

Let us
Give the world back to the people
Give her to them for free
Give the world back to the people
Maybe they could save her, let's see

The boat for the people is scary
The luxury liner's not free
Your soul is sold to the fairy
And the others tossed in the hot sea

Will the earth be darkened forever?
Will the blood of our brother's be sold?
Or can we rise up ; and shout "never!"
Our brother's more precious than gold

Let us
Give the world back to the people
Give her to them for free
Give the world back to the people
Maybe they could save her, let's see

Can we
Give the world back to the people
Give her to them for free
Give the world back to the people
Maybe they could save her, let's see
