A good friend, and good neighbor who frequently volunteers on behalf of local kids and kid programs is trying to help her cousin. She needs a few minutes time, from an attorney who is licensed to practice in France or St. Barth's. She has tried the French Counsel, and they are not certain they will have access to an attorney today (or even tomorrow). We live in such a diverse neighborhood, that I thought someone on this list could give me direction to help solve the need presented in the forwarded message, copied below mine. Do we have any International Lawyers close at hand? Names, contact info and probable cost would be helpful.
Thanks in advance, and all the best! Liz ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Hello Liz, I need your expert help. My Father sold a share of property in St Bartholemy, (St. Barth's) French West Indies in 1997 to my cousin who lives in St. Barth's. He is planning to build on the property. In order to get financing for the property he must have a notarized paper ( I believe a quit claim) from my father saying that he has no rights to the property. The paper must be witnessed by a French Lawyer with ties to the French Bar Association. St. Barth's is grouped with the French Island of Guadeloupe. We have the document to be notarized, I just need a contact that fits our needs. HELP! My cousin flew in to Philadelphia early this morning from a business trip and he is trying to fly back to St, Barth's this weekend. Sorry for the short notice and thank you as always for being so willing to help! ____________________________________________________________ Free information - Best Cell Phones and Plans.
