When the Inq. published my letter in support of teachers and social workers in
broken systems, I got a lot of responses because they published my e-mail
address. I wish the Daily News did that too.

I sent this a couple weeks ago. My title was "keysone cops do city council"

http://www.philly.com/dailynews/opinion/20081027_Letters__Unresponsive_Council.html

I wasn't just talking about this councilmanic district. No, the group of
neighbors and i never did meet with our council person nor her staff about the
bogus trash tickets in our neighborhood. No, the staff members didn't respond
to numerous e-mails or calls or office visits about meeting with a group of
citizens regarding the issue. (If some of you wondered what happened- I tried
for many months but Abbott and Costello kept blowing me off with "send an
e-mail")

I wanted to explain because the DN cut out my paragraph where I identified
Green, his published platitudes about reform, and the same complete lack of
professionalism when I brought the issues of PCPC and PHC to his office
recently.

The political hacks, who are called Councilman staff, and the councilmanic
dynasties they focus all time upon; actually aren't as competent as the
keystone cops, the original Abbott and Costello, or Laurel and Hardy.

I doubt that they ever read anything about the people's right to petition their
government- And No time remains after all the moon bounces and photo-ops with
Penn/corporate officials.

>From the city without representatives in government,
Glenn
