As a historical consultant to the Philadelphia Water Department
(PWD) since 1998, researching, tracking, and educating people about
Philadelphia’s streams and sewers has been Adam Levine’s passion.
His talk will reveal the city’s many hidden waterways, which now
run underground as an integral part of the city’s sewer system. He
will pay particular attention to Mill Creek, which runs in a giant
sewer under 43rd Street on its way to the Schuylkill River.
The lecture is free and open to the public.
