On Tuesday, November 25, we officially completed the sale of the Abbraccio
building.
In many ways it was very sad to give up Abbraccio, and indeed we shed more than
a few tears on Tuesday. But the extra pressure we felt without Duane’s
presence, plus the high overhead and consequent dollar losses, made this action
necessary.

We have been very fortunate in20that the buyer is our good friend, neighbor,
and business owner, Benny Lai. Benny’s family owns “Vietnam Café,” around the
corner, plus the “Fu Wah” grocery store next door to his café, plus for many
years he has owned and operated “Vietnam” restaurant in the Chinatown section
of Philadelphia. We believe that Benny plans to use the Abbraccio space to
enlarge his café (with liquor license), plus to take advantage of our large
space to offer catering services for weddings, anniversaries, and other large
events.

The agreement allows us to remain here for three more months, until the end of
February, 2009. During this period, we plan to renovate the first floor (about
1500 square feet) of 4800 Baltimore Avenue into a coffee shop /
“BYOB”restaurant. There are many details still to work out about the new
place, and we’ll keep you updated on progress. But the main thing is that a
greatly reduced operation seems attractive to us. We anticipate a shorter menu
and simpler approach, with a greater emphasis on “comfort” food, and purchases
fro m local growers.

In the meantime, we thank you all for your many kind words of encouragement
during this difficult time. Please feel free to contact us with any questions.

Cordially,
Roger Harman Vincent Whittacre
