Those of you who attended the injunction hearing understand that library staff have on-going relationships with the schools in their area. This was about to be destroyed for the 11 libraries and the Nutter closure plan had not addressed this or considered it back in Dec.
Now, his Reardon is threatening additional closures and layoffs and blaming the judge and people. Consider that the chaos Nutter has demanded, because of his contempt of the injunction and the law, is to disrupt and destroy these relationships between library staff and their schools throughout the entire city. (Neighborhood pitted against neighborhood) This is not the fault of the people or the judge. We are seeing Nutter's strategy to break the people and force his closures and the privatization of public libraries.
