What do you mean _your_ whole point? I was the one who brought up the marketing issue in the first place. I claim ownership of the Point.

And I think it's silly to worry about _that_ as well. We're already marketed to. We get flyers on our doorsteps, catalogs in the mail, and much more. The commercials we see are targeted at us because we're watching that particular TV show. I don't know what you're so scared of-- unless you have a habit of mindlessly buying anything advertised in your visual range. That could be a problem for some people, but I'm pretty good at ignoring marketing. (For example, using the skip-ahead feature on my TiVo to _avoid_ the commercials.)

As for marketing directly to us as individuals, well, as long as it doesn't intrude too much, it's not even a nuisance.
