Hooray for the citizens of Chicago!

Anyone who watched the Philadelphia historic Commission approve the Campus Inn
understands that PHC and historic designation have nothing to do with historic
preservation! This crap has been going on across the entire country, so bravo
to the citizens in this Chicago neighborhood!

No rules or standards apply to wealthy political cronies in the current system
as our beloved hotel shows. These vague and ridiculous "historic preservation"
laws are designed for gentrification only.

These are powerful tools for award winning real estate agents and ruthless
civic association leaders to remove targets from their homes. It's more
powerful than bogus trash tickets or L & I. Done over large areas, these laws
are designed to cleanse communities of lower, and now, middle class communities
to make way for good people, like wealthy AIG executives and award winning real
estate agents.
