Neighbors, This time of year, the Spruce Hill Civic Association and Friends of Clark Park, have money making events at Clark Park. The landscaping company, Moon, is in the park presently. (Each year, they "dust off" the park before events from these local gangs.)
The adults,children,and dogs of Clark Park must be extra vigilant at this time of year! Since the UCD occupation of Clark Park 10 years ago, poison has been placed in the park before these upscale events in order to murder the holy dandelion flowers. The only warning I've seen at past poisonings were tiny markers placed at a couple of the entrances in the park. I have no idea if the UCD/SHCA/FOCP is planning to have the Moon workers poison the park today, but we do know that none of these entities can be trusted to provide us truthful information. The sunshine doesn't fall on the schemes in this upscale district. Please be careful if you, the kids, or dogs plan to be close to mother earth in the park! Look close to the ground near the sidwalk paths for warning signs which are never larger than a few inches. (They have claimed in the past that their poison is safe to drink and only deadly to some living plants.) I recently traveled through Pennsylvania and New York and saw the beautiful thriving dandelions in healthy grasslands. When returning to the district, i couldn't help noticing the sick appearance of what was once holy public ground, Clark Park. It is almost completely absent of the beautiful yellow flowers which were once an abundant symbol of health and spring. (It's been years since I've eaten the dandelion leaves from Clark Park during my worship in early spring). It appears that the holy plant tried to rebound this spring but the few flowers present are shriveled and unhealthy. It will do no good to ask about the entities' plans for Clark Park!! Last fall when a two block toxic dust cloud was caused by the dirty oil spewing "leaf blowers" I contacted Moon and UCD. UCD says call Moon- Moon says call UCD or FOCP- FOCP and UCD say they see nothing, they know nothing, and will say nothing about who makes what plans that hurt the park and neighbors. It's a lot like city hall when dealing with those entities. (They refused to stop that dust storm because they had to get the park dusted off before the SHCA halloween parade.) Please be careful. And if you have any information about the status or planiing of future poisonings or if you see the tiny warning markers, please post an announcement on this public list.
