It should be quite warm this Saturday in the park -- nice weather for the May Fair! There is a 30% risk of showers, diminishing as the day wears on.

Still, it'll be t-shirt weather. And if *you are wearing* a Friends of Clark Park t-shirt, you can take shelter under the FoCP canopy. Come learn about the many ways you can play a personal role in supporting and rehabilitating the cherished grounds where the May Fair takes place. And get your t-shirts; and your reusable shopping bags (supermarket bags are about to cost money, so go green now).

If you were unable to make the "Party for the Park" fundraiser this evening, which brings in the money that maintains the park in summertime, in this era of grim government cutbacks ... stop by our table and make a donation. $10, $20, $50 ... every dime helps. (Yes, we take credit cards.) If we all pitch in what we can, the community can keep University City's key public spaces alive and healthy even when economic skies are gray.

Just because it is cold and rainy doesn't mean that summer isn't coming.
