>From the Black Hills to the Black Bottom, colonial oppressors have long >claimed the lands of indigenous people's as their divine right. Calling us >savages or gang members, they strip us of our community, our rights and our >human dignity.
Stand tall against the oppressors, and we shall win our freedom! In the 19th century, they corralled our brothers and sisters onto worthless reservations. In the 1960's, they pioneered the use of bulldozers as a weapon of terror on West Philly and by the 1980's they were dropping napalm bombs here after testing these on veterans and Vietnamese villagers. In the 21st century, it is time to take back the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness for every one of us and our brothers and sisters! Whether in Clark Park or on Baltimore Avenue, we must draw the line against the imperialist colonial corporate oppressors and yield no more lands and tolerate no more subjugation. The corporate university just announced that it will be testing some new sonic "system" disguised as a warning against savages. Undoubtedly, a security wall is also being planned for 50th St so that the demarcation line for aerial bombardment can be detected by the drones. West Philadelphians, be brave! Shout loudly our rallying cry, "remember the black bottom! Remember Osage Avenue! Free the people! Free West Philly!" -----Original Message----- >From: Frank <[email protected]> >Sent: Jul 8, 2009 1:27 PM >To: [email protected] >Subject: [UC] “University City” Still Trying To Colonize Baltimore Ave.; “West >Philly” Stages Revolt > >from philebrity.com > >http://www.philebrity.com/2009/07/07/readers-write-university-city-still-trying-to-colonize-baltimore-ave-west-philly-stages-revolt/ >---- >You are receiving this because you are subscribed to the >list named "UnivCity."
