A dead cat appeared, curled up beneath a bush, near the 43rd St. &
Baltimore Ave. entrance to Clark Park this morning. It was wearing an
orange collar (a flea collar?) so it was clearly a housecat.
We Farmers' Market folks put a carton over the body for the time being.
I'll remove it tomorrow afternoon when I'm properly garbed.
In the meantime, though, neighbors with a missing cat that might answer
this description should check out these remains. While I shall treat
them with respect, it would surely mean more if the grieving owner
handled the proceedings. My heart goes out to whomever lost this kitty.
