Hi Patty,

I don't know of any lost orange tabbies currently (from online ads, that is), but check around for "lost" signs, and also post some "found" flyers, with his/her pic (if someone can get one). An ad can also be placed on craigslist, under Lost & Found, as well as in the Pets section. There seem to be a number of kittens - little ones and older - running around the neighborhood these days. Not good. My guess is that most of them are orphans. Winter is coming, and these little guys will not survive on their own AND can be reproducing by the time they're five months old! Best to get them off the streets and into a foster situation as soon as it is possible. They will need flea treatment, a de-wormer (pill), and to be tested for FIV and FelV and should always be quarantined for at least two weeks before interacting with other pets. In most cases they are healthy, but it is best not to take a chance. Also, kittens that have been living outside are likely to have an upper-respiratory infection, so may need antibiotics.

I hope the orange kitty finds a safe place to be soon. :-)

best,
linda

may want to take a digital or cell pic of it and

Hello all,
A young tabby cat has been taking refuge in the yard of the bed and breakfast The Castle, at the corner of 48th and Springfield. No collar, but in fairly good condition. Golden eyes, dusky orange, looks about 4 to 6 months old. You can contact Patty Bulack at [email protected] if you think this is your cat. Being fed, and some of us are keeping our eye on it.
