Subject: [DogPark] Found Dog- Male black lab

Hi everyone,

We found a large black lab or lab mix on 47th near Baltimore today. He seems to be purebred but is a bit larger than most black labs I have seen- around the size of a yellow lab- so it's possible he is a mix. The dog is male, so it's not the same one someone posted about yesterday. He did not have a collar, was not neutered and had some sores on his legs so we think he has been out on the street for a while. He was also pretty skinny and smelly, and seemed to have bad dandruff (which is probably flea related). However he was fine when we caught him and put him on the leash and was very friendly and calm and sat calmly in our car on the way to the SPCA. He didn't bark at all the entire hour or so we had him. He knew the command sit and heeled very well on a leash. It's possible that he used to be someones dog and has just been out on the
street for a while.

We took him to the Philadelphia SPCA and hopefully they will fix him up and find him a good home. If this is your missing dog, that is where he is. If you'd like to adopt a very friendly black lab, then the SPCA just got a new one. :)
