Appealing to one's prejudices, emotions, or other personal considerations rather than to intellect or reason. ____________________________________________________________________________ ________ This is a wonderful post Paul; especially germane as we watch Commander and Chief Obama use this technique to avoid answering substantiative technical issues at the current White House Healthcare Symposium. Another technique he employs is interrupting speakers whose point of view with which he does not agree. He labels the technique "stopping campaigning" as he campaigns. Hopefully, Purple members can catch some of it during lunch. It is currently on CSpan3, with a very clean audio feed, however I feel more comfortable watching it on the FNC where I am used to fair and honest. If you are at a computer, you can also pickup a broadly opinionated/bipartisan blog feed at The Hill: _http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/83501-liveblog-bipartisan- healthcare-summit-at-the-white-house_ (http://thehill.com/blogs/blog-briefing-room/news/83501-liveblog-bipartisan-healthcare-summit-at-the-white-house) or _http://tinyurl.com/ykbv9cp_ (http://tinyurl.com/ykbv9cp) There are few things more important than painting your house, like stopping Obama from sinking American medical economics and the worlds best healthcare delivery system. Again, thanks Paul, great post. Ciao, Craig
