This is a wonderful post Paul; especially germane as we watch Commander and 
 Chief Obama use this technique to avoid answering substantiative technical 
 issues at the current White House Healthcare Symposium. Another technique  
he employs is interrupting speakers whose point of view with which he does 
not  agree. He labels the technique "stopping campaigning" as he campaigns.
 
Hopefully, Purple members can catch some of it during lunch. It is  
currently on CSpan3, with a very clean audio feed, however I feel more  
comfortable 
watching it on the FNC where I am used to fair and honest.
