Yes, the Northern Liberties Neighbors Association publicly announces it's
zoning committee meetings and holds public committee meetings with the
community invited! Imagine..., civic association leaders actually doing what
is important for their neighbors, instead of betraying them with secret
backroom deals.

The FOCP planning committee and the SHCA zoning committee don't even welcome
their own dues paying members at committee meetings, let alone, members of the
public. I want to thank and publicly honor the NLNA for showing the right way
for a Philadelphia civic association to serve one's community!

(I saw a public notice of meetings, which also gave the web info.
http://www.nlna.org/committees.html )

Also, thanks to Frank and Doug for uncovering the SHCA coffee shop gathering at
the last moment. As spruce hill residents and exiles know, there would be no
meetings of these "committees" made public, if we did not catch them and tell
our neighbors at the last moment.

Look at how this was uncovered. Clearly, like the hotel meetings, this was not
meant to be publicly disclosed by SHCA:

City Paper receives a tweet: 'Do you want a Starbucks at 42nd & Woodland?
Community meeting tonight @ SHCA (257 S. 45th St.) 6:30pm to hear their plans...

“I don’t have much information,” said Witmer in a phone call. “I found out
through the neighbors — some of our customers work at University of the
Sciences and they told me about the meeting. I’m going to it to find out more.”'

Now, it is postponed-haha hehe haha
