Bob Herbert in the NYT- "When you listen to the people who have been subjected
to this relentless harassment, you get a sense of the awful personal
consequences. People are made to feel low, intimidated, worthless, helpless.
They dread the very sight of the police."

For a long time, the federal government denied the traumatic effect of chronic
stress on humans. Not only did the "science" seek to deny PTSD benefits to
Vietnam veterans, but it also tried to deny the debilitating effects of chronic
poverty effecting millions of American men, women and children.

For hundreds of years, citizens of many countries knew that Stop and Frisk was
oppression of civilians. It had been unconstitutional in the US when the Bill
of Rights and Amendments had relevance.

The morons in Philadelphia city hall adopted this fascist "stop and frisk"
policy like the morons copy the privatization policies against libraries and
recreation centers sweeping the country. (Penn trustees only seem to copy and
never have any original policies of their own.)

Personally, I have given up hope that we can reverse fascism in the US. (Too
many consumers are too ignorant and helplessly addicted to stand up and be
citizens.) When the US middle class realizes the reality of the various
gestapo agencies, and the extent of the mercenary military empire; it will be
far too late. I'm praying that the brave citizens of South America and the
newly awakened, well educated, citizens of Europe can stop the global fascism
pushed by the corporate empire of evil.
