The common people of Europe are also targeted by the shock doctrine at the heart of privatization! (here is an important link to The Guardian in UK) This global depression and people's insecurity are real, but that doesn't matter for the purpose of the shock doctrine. Fear allows the lies about benefits to taxpayers to be accepted by too many people!

With privatization, the costs to taxpayers will always remain high as real wages of workers will be slashed in the public and private sectors. Standards and regulations in all outsourced agencies will be dismantled as corporate profits are maximized.

The Europeans have much better public education systems and are much more willing to stand up against their governments for social justice. Let's hope the citizens of Europe can use the successes of the strong, economically healthy, democracies of South America (minus Columbia) as a model, and fight back against privatization and global fascism!
