Dear Neighbors,

Document your Election Day experience and share it with Temple
students and people around the world via our Facebook page. It's
easy to participate - details are below. Most of all - please VOTE!

CROWDSOURCING U.S. ELECTION DAY 2010: A GLOBAL PORTRAIT

Come share your experience of Election Day 2010! Just use your phone
to document some election-related activity and upload your
observations to this group as a status update. Post text messages,
photos, videos, voice posts, or some combination on November 2. The
Facebook group is here:

http://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=146061412093532

To post to the group, you need to:

1. Have a FaceBook account
2. Join the Crowdsourcing Election Day 2010 Facebook group
3. Document your Election Day experience and post a status update to
the FaceBook group.

Your status update could include a photo and a text message from a
polling place, an interview with a neighbor or a colleague about their
opinion of the election, a video of some form of campaigning that you
see on November 2. We are asking for "status updates" because we are
looking for more than a simple text message or a single photo - the
status update needs to make sense all by itself. At the same time, we
are not looking for a full-blown report.

SOME THINGS TO CONSIDER

* There are many ways to post to Facebook from a cell phone. Visit the
FaceBook mobile page to find basic, Facebook-approved, apps or
services that will let you post to FaceBook from your phone. FaceBook
mobile is here: http://www.facebook.com/mobile/..
* Most phone apps and Web services let you post directly to your own
Wall, but not to a Group. If you use an app or service that just posts
to your Wall, you will need to figure out how to repost your status
update from your Wall to the Group. You may have a browser on your
phone that will let you do this, or you may need to go to a computer
to transfer the post from your own Wall to the Group.

There is more information about how to post to the FaceBook Group with
your cell phone available on the Discussion board of the group.
Because there are many ways to do this, feel free to post your
favorite phone-to-FaceBook app or service on the Discussion Board.
