I just saw this in the Pets section on Craigslist, presumably posted by City Kitties.   Forwarded:   Windemere - Massive Failure Philadelphia Date: 2011-02-16, 9:30AM EST Reply to: comm-zaape-2217327...@craigslist.org [Errors when replying to ads?] Demolition begins today at Windemere apartments on Walnut St.  After 37 days without food and water, eight live cats will be destroyed inside the building, in perhaps the most terrifying and inhumane way possible.  Too many people in too many authority positions gave up way too easily on these cats, and it is a disgusting black mark on the powers that be both in Philadelphia politics and Animal Control/Rescue.  The [local] news knew about it and did NOTHING. They talked about people being unable to get their possessions - DOCUMENTS, ELECTRONICS, ETC - but not their living, irreplaceable family members!!!!  I would like to say that on Feb 15, ABC News was contacted about these cats and did NOTHING. They ran a brief story about people's material possessions being inside the building but never once mentioned the cats!  THEY DID HOWEVER RUN A VIDEO ABOUT A CAT IN CALIFORNIA WHO STEALS UNDERWEAR FROM CLOTHES LINES. DISGUSTING MISHANDLING OF PRIORITIZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  Something needs to change, Philadelphia!!  Our thoughts and prayers are with the families of Nef, Roc, Ony, Sylvia, Humbert, Rocko, Deuce, and Domino. it's NOT ok to contact this poster with services or other commercial interests PostingID: 2217327448
