Hear, Hear Karen, Glenn and or course, Sam! I recall the complaints about Linda Lee's post about lost pets. At the time I sent her a personal email acknowledging my appreciation for her efforts and she was very grateful.
I just wish the "people who are owned by pets", were more in tune with the nature of the animals they own. Especially the cats. Dogs should always be on lead, but cats will get out whenever they can unless one trains them not to. Bottom line: Train your pets. Walk your dogs and clean your cat's litterbox. Lost pets who are never found hurt deeply. Hear, Hear, Sam and Glenn!! I always feel sad to read Linda's posts of lost pets and the obvious anguish their humans express in their posts, and happiness to read when they're reunited. Because of these notices, I do keep an eye out for unfamiliar companion animals on my block. As for the complainer, I just couldn't get why someone would try to stop Linda's efforts when all he had to do was delete any post that he was not interested in reading...go figure... > Date: Sun, 22 May 2011 16:34:51 -0400 > From: [email protected] > To: [email protected]; [email protected] > Subject: [UC] Sam's award for Good Human > > Announcement to West Philly humans: > > Sam Moyer, President of the Socialist Dogs of America, has announced > that the 2011 prize for Good Human was awarded to Linda Lee of West > Philadelphia! > > > > Dear humans, > > Despite a call to censor or ridicule her lost animal posts in the past, > Ms. Lee, continued her very important humanitarian work assisting mixed > families of humans and other animals.
