Hello All, I don't have much more than anecdotal information from one of the victims - he was mugged in front of 918 and 916 48th St. a few weeks ago, took it out into the street, and then gave up when threatened with a knife. He said he didn't report it to the police, and that several friends had also been mugged near the end of Windsor at 49th St. He attributed it to the "annual" rise about this time of year, from folks across 49th who come in to make mischief and then flee back in that direction...
He pointed out to me how dark it was in front of those houses, and other houses on the block which were quite dark. It was a good reminder for us all to be vigilant about our porch lights being on, and paying attention to noises at night. Please be careful - stay alert, and please keep those lights on!
