Here is a good look at the new use of eminent domain in our plutocracy.
It's a trailer for a new documentary, Battle of Brooklyn. It looks like
it shines some important light and tells an important history that
subjects of the district need to know!
Clark Park was a soft target. The loosely organized subcultures of
Clark Park , which were once treasured by the people of West Philly,
have often been easily harmed or pushed aside by civic association
leaders, while association members sleepwalk. But when the civic
association leaders became the pawns in a neo-feudal stratagem of the
plutocrats, it was only a matter of time until the Clark Park
Partnership would win the privatization crusade.
I think this video foreshadows the future for this district. I think
corporate/university operations will grow much bolder, and the civic
associations are no longer necessary, as the noose around the Amendments
to the Constitution tightens and the betrayal of the 3 branches
deepens! Victories like Clark Park will embolden their bulldozers as
powerbrokers feel confident in the cravenness of the District consumers.
Power to the people of Brooklyn!
