Below is documentation from 2003 supporting both claims of fact in my earlier post.

Here is a forward of my acceptance to do all the work approved by the FOCP general membership and the reply I received from the FOCP President in 2003. Read the 1st paragraph to see corroboration of the two "meeting announcement orders" passed by FOCP members days prior in April 2003:

(confirmation by FOCP President)
"...but I haven't decided yet on who would chair this group or who will be charged with notifying UC Review of our upcoming meetings and agendas..."

And here is the order approved by the FOCP members in 2003 toward a path for inclusion of all Clark Park stakeholder groups in planning meetings:

"The ad hoc inter-group relations committee will be established and charged to identify and recognize the community groups in the neighborhood, identify practices that optimize and streamline working relationships between FOCP and these groups, and then to report findings and make recommendations to this effect to the membership and Board of FOCP".

Here in my thank you letter, I reiterate the main goal of the FOCP members in 2003, who publicly discussed inclusion of stakeholders in the aftermath of the rejected redesign of Clark Park:

Moyer writes: "...From the discussion at the membership meeting, one product from this endeavor that is indicated will be an updated contact list for community and park activity groups that share an interest in the park..."

You can read my full thank you letter and the reply from FOCP President below. It corroborates the fact that Tony West replaced me after the FOCP members voted for "streamlining" inclusion. And it confirms that FOCP was forcibly ordered to publish meetings and agendas in the neighborhood newspaper way back in 2003!

Sorry for the length of these posts but proper journalism and supporting evidence can't be delivered in dumbed-down sound bites for entertainment purposes. This is for people serious about the truth in neighborhood civic associations, democratic principles, and exposure to RoundUp.

Glenn,

I'm sorry if there's been a misunderstanding but I haven't decided yet on who would chair this group or who will be charged with notifying UC Review of our upcoming meetings and agendas.

Per the minutes of the general membership meeting, I took your offer "under advisement", that is to say, that I would consider it. At this time, I'm probably leaning more towards Tony West to chair this group as he's done a good job on other coordinating committees of these types and he's a board member. However, I think he would probably want you on the group that he creates for this if you were willing to help out.

If you wish to discuss this with me, please email or call me (215.573.1274) but that's how I'm thinking about this now.

Take care,

Andy

Hi Andy,

I want to thank you for appointing me to chair the committee approved at the recent general membership meeting.

The ad hoc inter-group relations committee will be established and charged to identify and recognize the community groups in the neighborhood, identify practices that optimize and streamline working relationships between FOCP and these groups, and then to report findings and make recommendations to this effect to the membership and Board of FOCP.

I will certainly do a good job as chairmen of this committee and this special project. From the discussion at the membership meeting, one product from this endeavor that is indicated will be an updated contact list for community and park activity groups that share an interest in the park. Before I suggest any further plans for the committee, the committee must be formed.

When I introduced this motion for a membership vote, I was fully prepared to volunteer for the position of chairmen and fully prepared to take on the work to deliver upon the goals of this motion. This motion was not a request for the Board to take on additional work. I understand the limitations of volunteerism. As I recruit the committee members, do any Board members wish to join? I know that FOCP has a board meeting tonight. Unfortunately, I must work tonight and can not attend. Please let me know if any board member is interested in joining the committee. The peak park season is beginning, and I am eager to begin this work.

Thanks,

Glenn Moyer
