Biking westbound over South Street bridge this morning in the rain I
noticed the river is almost over the piers.
I predict that they will be submerged later today.
Earlier, eastbound over Greys Ferry, I noted that the piers for the
permanently open, spinning bridge are almost underwater.
As I approached Franklin Field, I saw 2 guys caring for UPenn's new
sod and trees down below.
2 guys, a pickup truck with a water tank and gas-powered pump.
One guy was watering and the other was trying to stay dry in the rain.
I worry about the risk of over-watering.
