Having left the mental health university/industrial complex in disgust,
I urge solidarity with this action in Philadelphia.
I discovered how to help a large percentage of people suffering with a
primary diagnosis of poverty and chronic stress, who had a comorbid
substance abuse disorder. But the mental health university/industrial
complex searches for extreme profit for big Pharma, and not for the
benefit of individuals, families, or society.
Instead of good literacy services for individuals in a continuum of
care, the preferred treatments are drugs or incarceration.
Instead of good employment programs for individuals in a continuum of
care, the preferred treatments are drugs or incarceration.
People to people treatments are cost effective and may help society a
great deal, but they do not lead to filthy profits. The "experts" at
universities can't seem to understand that highly profitable drugs
aren't always the ONLY treatment that benefits society. Or maybe, they
don't want to see???
Peace and solidarity,
Glenn
