The Friends of Walnut West Library holds wonderful book sales every Friday from 12:30 to 2:30 on the sidewalk at 40th & Walnut Streets. We have an amazing selection of books - all donated - from best sellers to classics and textbooks. We have always had a good collection of children's books - which are very popular. But now are supply is very low. Therefore, we are reaching out to you, our neighbors, to ask you if you have children's books (from picture stories to teen literature) that your children are no longer using that you would donate to the Friends. The proceeds from the book sales are used to support programming for children at the Library - and in these times of cuts in the budget - to also acquire more books for our branch. You can leave the books at the front desk (entrance on 40th Street) or bring them on Fridays. We can also provide a tax letter. Thank you so much for your help!
