If something sticky is noticed in the dryer air duct/vent than rather than even 
thinking in terms of cleaning it - for just a few dollars more I would 
certainly replace it.  Any HVAC or Plumber person can probably do it... 
actually it is easy for handy - people, and there are homeowner kits with 
instructions... that said if done wrong they can cause house fires, bug 
problems, leaks, and other major problems; SO, getting an expert to do the job 
isn't really a bad idea.  If you get someone to do a gourmet job you could have 
the hot air stay inside in winter (filtered of course) and vent to the outside 
in summer.
