Subject: From Det. Murray: Attempted purse and phone snatch, 4400 Pine
last night at 10:50 pm, by 2 females. Resulted in arrests.
Hello All,
This just in from Det. Murray's twitter feed.
Grateful for the end result being that the woman and neighbor are
unhurt, and an arrest made.
Phones are an especially hot item - want to discuss them in an
upcoming e-mail....
Glad for Det. Murray's willingness and ability to share - we learn
from each incident and hopefully become safer..... For example, there
have been several "rush and grab from behind" incidents.... outside
of growing eyes in the back of our heads, we can be more conscious of
whats going on behind us. This is another reason why talking on your
phone is not the best idea, because you won't be as aware of who is
coming up from behind. I'm sure you can draw your own conclusions
about the rest of this story.
Yours,
Patty

@PPDJoeMurray: 4400 Pine at 10:50pm: 28y/o female was walking down the
street when 2 females ran up from behind and tried to steal her bag
and phone.
@PPDJoeMurray: The victim held on and began to scream causing the 2
attackers to flee. A neighbor chased & caught one of the females &
held her for police.
@PPDJoeMurray: Then the best part: The other genius comes back and
inquires on why her friend is being arrested. You'll never guess what
happens next #jail
