I think many confused consumers have failed to understand the connection between public land and all other primary rights of citizens in the former US republic. The occupy movement was brutalized around the country because assembly of citizens on public land was the only hope for the American people. Without public land, there is no hope for free speech, assembly, voting, etc.
The sale of Philadelphia parkland has always been a bipartisan neoliberal attack and D day has arrived. This is the final solution our special service districts and "friends" groups have been working toward for more than a decade. Clark Park was a pilot project, and we failed to protect it for future generations of citizens. (Penn has the most extensive corporate lobbying effort on K St. and this is a national scheme.) http://www.philly.com/philly/columnists/ronnie_polaneczky/20120926_Ronnie_Polaneczky__Bill_would_place_parks_at_the_whim_of_pols.html ---- You are receiving this because you are subscribed to the list named "UnivCity."
