Hello All, 48th St. Neighbors and the UCD are sponsoring this event, to greet the influx of new neighbors who have joined us this fall. We will be bringing together some of the grassroots organizations that are homegrown here, and also providing a safety/self defense session. The list of groups this time is far from comprehensive, but I wanted to get this event rolling with the groups we had. I would love for this to become an annual event! So send me your suggestions of who to include next time.

Please come yourselves, if you would like to meet any of the folks who will be coming in person, or just to say hi! Come meet some dynamic people, resources and opportunities that are homegrown in our fantastic neighborhood! Come be a part of our living, growing, effective community! And bring a friend, especially if they are new to the neighborhood. Will include 48th St. Neighbors, UCD, Garden Court Community Assoc., Protecting Our Waters, The Children's Community School, West Phila. Coalition for Neighborhood Schools, Fred Kauffman and "Heeding God's Call" getting illegal guns off the street, Shakespeare in Clark Park, West Philly Tool Library, Camp Sojourner, Girls' Leadership Camp, and other organizations. Also will feature our own Iris Bloom leading a safety/self-defense session from 5 to 6 pm. Refreshments will be served.
