Subject: [UCNeighbors] kids up to no good
Hello Neighbors,
I wanted to let people know of an incident that happened on Saturday
on the 900 block of S Farragut St. We happened to be home on
Saturday afternoon and saw these 2 boys standing on our neighbors
steps in our combined side alley. The boys were looking right into
our first floor windows and clearly checking out the house. We
surprised them and they ran off. My husband decided to see if he
could see where they went and walked down Springfield Ave between
Farragut and 46th and saw the same 2 teenagers going down another
side alley and looking into the windows on the first floor of the 2
houses. When they saw my husband, the kids ran. My husband reported
the incident to the police on Saturday.
Today, as my husband was out on the porch, he saw the same 2 teenage
African American boys wearing the same jackets (1 was a puffy gray
jacket with a wide light blue horizontal stripe, the other was a
dark blue hoodie) walking down the street again checking out the
houses. Again when the boys saw my husband, the ran off. We alerted
the 18th and the 12th police stations about this, but it seems
unlikely that any action will be taken. Just thought we would pass
this on.
