Don't forget the "Microsoft, review of your computer for viruses" calls.
Those have been real people who tried to direct me into an online site which
would have permitted them to take over AdMin functions on my computer.

Based on the responses received from the attorney general's office on my
reports to the PA state Do Not Call site on those "lower your credit card
interest rates" calls the phone numbers that pop up on the caller ID are
bogus. Those calls are a massive operation very difficult to trace. But
they did say that there was one operation that is currently being
prosecuted. So even if it is annoying given the volume of the calls do
still report the violations. Maybe we can get some of them shut down

The Federal Trade Commission would also like to know if anyone knows how to
stop them and is offering a $50,000 prize to anyone who can come up with a
solution.

Hi Richard and anyone else getting these robocalls

YES, I get at least one home security call a day, the "if you are up to date
on your electric bill" calls - 3 or 4 a day and the ever loving "lower your
interest on your credit card" calls. Yes I'm on the DNC list, no it's not
stopping any of these scammers. And yes, when they call my cellphone and I
get a number I do report it, but that does no good either. Cell is really
annoying because it's prepaid, so I'm paying for these calls!

I don't know what the answer is to stopping them. I've tried the wait and
press to speak to someone and have nicely informed of DNC list and to take
me off, I've yelled. Doesn't matter. They're all constant. If anyone
knows how to get them to stop, please let the rest of us know?
