Kids and accompanying adults are invited to Play-A-Palooza, a special preview party to celebrate the seasonal re-opening of Smith Memorial Playground in East Fairmount Park! The event is from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30th (rain date April 6th).
Attractions include: KYW’s Kidcasts to give kids a chance to be news reporters, meeting Super WHY and Princess Presto from Sprout, carnival games, face painting, water ice and popcorn, samples and giveaways from Honest Tea, and fun on Smith's 6 1/2 acre Playground featuring the famous Ann Newman Giant Wooden Slide. This event is free for Smith members, or $10 per child for nonmembers. Annual memberships are currently 50% off to celebrate the Playground opening, and can be purchased for just $25 at www.smithplayground.org/membership/. Tickets may be purchased at www.smithplayground.ticketleap.com/play/. Smith Playground opens to the public on Saturday, April 2nd and admission is free for families. Hours are Tuesday - Friday 10:00-6:00 and Saturday - Sunday 10:00-7:00. Hours are in effect through September 30th. From October - December, the Playground is open Saturday - Sunday 10:00-4:00.
