Dear activists,
Here is an excellent interview to help reinvigorate your many efforts, and renew hope. I'm very eager to read The Impossible Community; Realizing Communitarian Anarchism by John Clark. (link below)
I agree, that humans are capable of having a radically different relationship with each other, and a radically different value system; that is in fact, much more "normal" and consistent with our true nature developing over tens of thousands of years. Yet, as most of us recognize, we are on the verge of a suicidal extinction of ourselves, just as we are causing broadly across all life on the planet. And it causes so many of us to live very unhealthy and unhappy lives of isolation, while condemning any remaining future generations to even worse. This is not built into, who we are as humans, so it's very important to devote time to remember why we stand up and speak out, instead of pursuing more comfortable personal paths!
Right now, there are large numbers of our fellow Americans waking from their long sleep, but who still do not understand the systems around us nor how we got onto a course toward slavery and then extinction. I think it's important for the rest of us to keep our voices strong, and encourage them to look at the world around us with open eyes! To help them confront the many addictions and delusions, so that we, as a people, can turn from the pit of darkness right in front of us and move toward the light.
We have great heroes to inspire us like Ed Snowden, Bradley Manning, Julian Assange, and so many others around the world. And brave people standing up together, such as our brothers and sisters in Turkey and the Occupy movements around the world! Take time for deep breathing, and remember why we act up!
