ROAMING Yorkie off Grays Ferry, West Philly (47th & Paschall (east
side))
Monday night around 6:30 saw a tiny scruffy/thin Yorkie at the
northeast corner of Paschall Ave and 47th. Got out of my car to see if
he/she would come to me, but it scooted back onto Paschall and went
under a chain link fence in a large lot/garage. I left a small can of
food. This was about a half hour before the big rain. I asked someone
I saw across the street if he knew anything about the dog. He'd seen
it earlier in the day, but didn't seem to care one way or another that
a little dog was roaming... :( I suppose it is possible someone nearby
owns this dog and lets it out (i.e. doesn't give a sxxx) or that it is
lost or abandoned.
If you ever drive this route home from Grays Ferry please watch for
this little dog. fyi, PAWS clinic is right down the road on Grays
Ferry (2900) and if anyone were to safely lure/capture him he could be
taken there to check for m.chip, etc. Don't chase.

A small dog was seen running loose on the 4700 block of Kingsessing
Avenue around 12:45pm on Saturday, July 5th. It almost looked like
"he" was following us until I turned around, at which point he took
off towards 48th street. "He" seemed friendly. We were about 10 feet
away, so could not tell if he had a collar or tags. "He" was a light
brown /tan color, and appeared to be a long haired Chihuahua. Just
wanted to put this out there in case someone lost a dog matching this
description. Sorry, I have no pics or other information.
