Down Home Soul Satisfying Meets Gourmet Caribbean / American Cooking

Finally open on 48th St. btw. Spruce and Pine, The 48th St. Grille (Caribbean /
American dining) proudly features the very professional Chef Carl Lewis, who
after 35 yrs. of cooking at Temple and other fine venues now has a place of his
own to serve up really scrumptious foods with which to satisfy all the
neighbors tastes. Much bigger than it seems from outside, it has music, TV,
Comfy seats, and super-high ceilings.

Tonight I had the Prime Rib Special with Caramelized Onions (to live for),
yummy Mashed Potatoes with Garlic, and fresh perfectly prepared Garlic String
Beans - plus a Home Made Ginger Beer. Other things I’ve loved have been their
Braised Ox-Tail with Butter Beans, House Vegetables, and Peas and Rice as well
as their Red Bean Soup, Home Made Lemonade, and the Conch Fritter appetizers.
The food has always been FRESH, the portions have been quite generous and the
service most elegant. Splendid desserts are there… everything is take/out or
dine in… and it is priced fairly… SO, please come and welcome our newest
restaurant and show them some needed support during their “soft opening”!
