I am happy to report, Scarlet has returned!
I put the rug that I have her litter on, on the porch near food and
water. I think that's what brought her back! At 4:30am I heard her
growling at another cat on my porch. I was able to run to the door and
get her inside. She is exhausted and has a sore paw but she seems
very relieved to be home. I'm gonna let her rest before I take her to
the vet.
