Here is Det. Murray's tweet, and more info he was able to give me following. @PPDJoeMurray: 3 guys robbed and pistol-whipped a man at 48/Hazel last night. Took his phone/wallet/wedding ring. He was taken to Presby for treatment The basic description is 3 African American men between ages 17 to 20, wearing dark hoodies. They first approached by asking the time and then ended up pistol whipping our neighbor until he fell to the ground. He was taken to the hospital to tend to lacerations. He wasn't shot. They ran towards 49th along Hazel after the attack. If anyone saw or heard anything please let us know. Our hearts, thoughts, and prayers go out to our neighbor and his family. There will be those of us who will also be praying for these young men to stop this self destructive behavior and for us to be protected in the meantime. Yours Patty
