There can be a holidayproperty crime spike when lots of people are away. This
morning around 8:10 thePhila. police were cruising around 47th and Windsor
because a couple guys hadbeen trying to get in cars on Windsor with a slim jim.
Keep an eye on thestreets, cars and houses, especially for neighbors who may
not be home. Call insuspicious activity to 911 so police know where to increase
patrols.

Neighbors - I sharedJoyce's email about the possibly suspicious window washer
with Officer TremayneYoung. His response was rapid and reassuring:
"Several of my officers have stopped this male in the past and know
hisidentity. We will patrol the area and keep a close eye out for him.
Alsojust FYI for recent burglaries in the community we arrested the
perpetratorresponsible for four break ins. Any future concerns don't hesitate
to reach outthanks again. "

This from one of the 800 block neighbors:
Today Friday, a tall black man has been going around theneighborhood hustling
his skills as a window washer. He does a slap dash joband at least three
neighbors sense he is casing the neighborhood for break ins.I hate to be
suspicious but... in light of other problems these last 6months... Keep your
windows and gates closed.
