I emailed the maintainer about this issue many times, but it was never fixed. Combined with the documentation of frustration from other users, I thought the bug report was necessary. I was also unaware of a working package because I run Ubuntu, not Debian, most of the time. How would I have known about the fixed package? Are you saying that it was fixed in Debian Unstable?
