i think that bug should be reopened. ffmpeg2theora is still not present in the repositories. keeping a bug open the topic with the status PENDINGUPLOAD for instance (don't know if it exists in launchpad) would allow people who are interested in this bug to follow developments on this bug and know when it will be fixed.
