This appears to be https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=192893 Unfortunately it's too late to make it into 9.10, though this seems like it would be a serious enough issue to justify a Stable Release Update for after the release. I'd have to check to make sure the patch is applicable to 2.0.x before final judgement, though.
