I'm not sure why it happened on i386-pc (haven't gone back and checked
the history), but I fixed one possible cause of it in r1822.

Generally, mandb will get a bit confused when the thing you put in the
NAME section of the manual page doesn't match the file name.

This change breaks the use of 'grub-install --grub-probe=...'; see
r1741. (Furthermore you only reverted half of that change, which is
weird.) Can we find a compromise that makes both of these things work
