Public bug reported: Binary package hint: joe
I am using joe/jmacs (3.7-1) on Ubuntu Karmic. Joe/jmacs should guess the encoding of a file (e.g. ISO8859-2) and display correctly 128-255 characters on UTF-8 terminal. It does not - It incorrectly guesses "ascii" (as seen by ^K<space>). This works ok on PLD linux, where joe was built (I think) from this file http://ftp.pld-linux.org/dists/th/PLD/SRPMS/RPMS/joe-3.7-1.src.rpm The locales and joe config files are identical on both machines Bests Jacek ** Affects: joe (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- Encoding guessing does not work https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/498020 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
