Thanks, friend. I took your advice and enabled apport, restarted, and reproduced the crashes. I am not sure what apport did (unless it was all behind the scenes), but I do now have three crash reports which are attached for diagnosis and review.
Also, the output from the terminal for both rhythmbox and sound-juicer is as follows: u...@host:~$ rhythmbox ** (rhythmbox:5585): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed ** (rhythmbox:5585): CRITICAL **: atk_object_set_name: assertion `name != NULL' failed Segmentation fault (core dumped) u...@host:~$ sound-juicer Segmentation fault (core dumped) u...@host:~$ ** Attachment added: "Crash reports for nautilus, rhythmbox, and sound-juicer" http://launchpadlibrarian.net/37259418/_usr_bin_sound-juicer.1000.crash -- Sound Juicer gives Segmentation error on startup in Karmic https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/484444 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
