Now the bug is the oppositefor me. Miro doesn't disable the screensaver at all. While watching movies I need to move the mouse or else every 10mins the screensaver kicks in. The happens even in fullscreen. I'm currently running Ubuntu (not Kubuntu) Hardy:
Linux psyserveftp 2.6.24-22-generic #1 SMP Mon Nov 24 19:35:06 UTC 2008 x86_64 GNU/Linux OS: Linux Version: 1.2.8 Revision: https://svn.participatoryculture.org/svn/dtv/tags/Miro-1.2.8/tv/resources - 8366 Builder: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Build Time: 1225304414.86 Listed as version 1.2.8-0pcf2 in synaptic. This doesn't apply as the problem lies within gnome-screensaver and previously I was running KDE I managed a workaround to disable the screensaver while miro is running, but this is not ideal as it stops the screensaver/DPMS all the time, even when minimized, but it's better than having to kick the table with the mouse on it every 10mins from the bed while watching a movie. My workaround will work with any program that doesn't disable gnome- screensaver and is easy to apply. The script and how to is at http://stinker.serveftp.net:8000/gscreensaver.html if anyone is interested. I don't use KDE so I can't test this at the moment. I believe there is already a bug posted reguarding the new no screensaver/gnome problem but somehow it disappeared off lauchpad. -- miro disables screensaver and dpms in kubuntu 7.10 https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/182831 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
