Ok. I've discovered the way to fix this is to do the following. Open /boot/grub/menu.lst in a text editor:
Search for defoptions= and add the vga=791 after # defoptions=quiet splash Then search for /boot/vmlinuz and add vga=791 to the end of the line - this makes the dimensions of shell adequate to support fbi ((other resolutions may work as well, I haven't tested them though)) ** Summary changed: - fbi fbgs will not open PDF files + [SOLVED] fbi fbgs will not open PDF files -- [SOLVED] fbi fbgs will not open PDF files https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/293947 You received this bug notification because you are a member of Ubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to Ubuntu. -- ubuntu-bugs mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/ubuntu-bugs -- universe-bugs mailing list [email protected] https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/universe-bugs
